Serve each Cheeky apple burger with a medium to small toasted or non-toasted burger bun, 120g (¼) of the crispy green salad and a level tbsp of light mayonnaise.

If not for immediate use rub the apple surface with lemon juice, lightly wrap the burgers in cling film, place in a suitable lidded container, refrigerate and use within 24 hours.

1 | Prepare all ingredients as directed. Make up the breadcrumbs. Wash well the salad items. Pre heat an oven to 190ºC (375ºF) gas 5 |
Cheesy Balls | |
2 | Place the mince, cheese, basil and ground black pepper in a mixing bowl |
3 | Heat a non-stick frying pan over a moderate heat and cook the onion and garlic for 3-4 minutes until they start to cook in their own juices and start to brown lightly. |
4 | Add half the onions to the mix and shape into 16 even sized balls and place into an oven proof gratin/baking dish |
5 | Mix the chopped tomatoes, ketchup, parsley and remaining onion together and spoon/pour over the pork balls. |
6 | Mix together the grated cheese and breadcrumbs, top over the meat balls and bake in the pre-heated oven for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden and the meat balls are thoroughly cooked |

7 | Place all the salad items less the mayonnaise in a mixing bowl and lightly mix with a spoon. Cover with clingfilm and refrigerate until required for use. |
